BARBARA WELCH
FOUNDER, MANAGING DIRECTOR
Barbara Welch energizes those she works with and has a reputation for providing excellence on any project she undertakes. She is an inspiration as a businesswoman and generous community leader, bringing a unique perspective to Inheritance Development LLC. She is working to identify and develop projects that support and enhance our mission to create opportunities for sustainable, high value projects in real estate and business.
Her extensive background as a community leader, organizer, and business professional combine to provide a high standard of excellence to clients.
Professional Experience:
Barbara and her husband, Skot established Inheritance Development L.L.C. in 2012. Prior to the launch of Inheritance Development L.L.C., Barbara served as the Principal/Founder of The Good Life Financial Education Company under the motto “ Its your life, make it good!” partnering with organizations to develop and provide financial literacy and small business development training programs to their clients. Her professional experience also includes serving as Officer and Branch Manager for Old Kent Bank and Trust Co. from 1990-1997 and starting her first business, Vision Expression, in 1990, offering fine African American art and framing services. In 1996, she and her husband launched one of the first African American owned multilevel marketing companies in the U.S., Generations Products Inc.
Graduate of Howard University in Washington D.C., earning a B.B.A. in Finance and International Business.
Barbara also holds a Master of Science degree in personal financial planning from The College for Financial Planning in Greenwood, CO.

CO-FOUNDER, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Skot is recognized as a leader in business and innovation. Utilizing the principles of global quality standards for the development and implementation of sustainable, systematic and measurable diversity initiatives. He has worked in the area of Diversity Management for over 20 years and his sought after in-depth knowledge of organizational diversity management systems development brings together and maximizes the perfect blend of people and process.
Skot has helped numerous organizations across a wide range of industries deliver solutions to the tough issues that organizations face such as: employee engagement, supplier diversity development and management, global diversity, multi-ethnic marketing and the strengthening of sales/distributor force to thrive in the competitive global and multicultural marketplace.
Recently, Skot served as Vice President of Benchmarking Services and Analysis for DiversityInc magazine, where he was responsible for new industry development and best practices analysis of the Fortune 500.
